Extra-Curricular

GEMS Westminster School - RAK has an excellent reputation for its extra-curricular achievements and strives to provide all children with the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities. School teams and clubs are established in basketball, football, cricket, badminton, table tennis, and athletics, ecology, Arabic and EAL (English as Additional Language).

After school activities are provided for Grades 1-11, and offered each term. Students have the opportunity to sign-up for activities across a broad range of subjects, including sports, information technology, performing arts, visual arts, music, dance, EAL (English as Additional Language), cooking, junk modelling, public speaking, magazine and newspaper. The lessons are offered once a week, for 45 minutes after school. Opportunities and the selection process are emailed to parents well in advance. Sport, physical education and other extra-curricular activities are fundamental to the early development of children and the skills learned contribute to the holistic development of our young people.
